Primary Healthcare Services for the Whole Family
At Lamoille Family Medicine, our highly trained, Board Certified Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants provide comprehensive family healthcare for people of all ages.
With two convenient locations in Morrisville and Stowe, we offer a comprehensive approach to care that includes preventive care services, chronic condition management, and acute care.
Both locations function as primary care medical practices. A primary care provider (PCP) is typically the person you contact first in the healthcare system. They handle routine medical needs and refer patients to an appropriate specialist when necessary.
Our Approach to Care
At Lamoille Family Medicine, we enjoy having a long-term relationship with our patients. Our PCPs use a whole-person approach. They know and understand all aspects of their patients’ physical and mental health and are able to treat or refer appropriately. Your visit is designed to provide you with comprehensive care and the best experience, from our front desk staff to our team of nurses and physicians.

Acute Care/ Same-Day Visits
We offer same-day visits for acute problems, including laceration repair, sprains, and uncomplicated fracture management.
Adolescent Care
Yearly health supervision visits are important throughout adolescence. This is an important time for an adolescent developing independence to learn how to access healthcare and to discuss the health impact of their choices.
Adolescents also face many sensitive subjects including drugs and alcohol, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, puberty, and sexuality. Allowing your teen space to discuss health issues freely and confidentially with a doctor ensures that important health issues will not be overlooked due to shame, embarrassment, or fear. Adolescents should have a relationship with their provider that is confidential and trusting, so that if and when they need help with anything they can reach out.
Adult Physicals
Your body requires regular maintenance to function well. Annual check-ups are simple, yet effective ways to stay on top of your health. Yearly exams focus on preventing disease and enhancing wellness. At Lamoille Family Medicine, annual check-ups create a foundation for good health. We take time to evaluate your physical health, discuss your concerns, and answer questions.
Cancer Screening
Screening can help doctors find and treat several types of cancer early – before they cause symptoms. When abnormal tissue or cancer is found early, it may be easier to treat. By the time symptoms appear, cancer may have begun to spread, making treatment more difficult. Our cancer screening services include discussions and skin checks and biopsies/cryotherapy, as well as referrals for mammograms, colonoscopies, annual skin exams with biopsies, if necessary, and referrals for lung cancer screenings when patients are at high risk.
Chronic Condition Management
Having a chronic condition such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma and COPD, can be frustrating enough. But when you don’t know who to turn to for help managing your symptoms, everything can become overwhelming.
With access to nutritionists at the Lamoille Health Team and our Diabetic Educators, in addition to collaboration with specialists at Copley Hospital, the University of Vermont Medical Center, and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, your specific needs will be covered.
Diabetic Educator
Our Morrisville location is home to a Certified Diabetic Educator who works closely with patients to manage their diabetes through diet, exercise, blood sugar monitoring, stress management and medication.
Family-Centered Pediatric Care
Lamoille Health Family Medicine providers offer comprehensive care for your entire family. Routine well-child visits support healthy growth and development and provide parents a time to ask questions. We also offer illness care and treatment of injuries, from broken bones to stitches. Providers are also on call to provide emergency consultations when illness or injury occur after hours.
Geriatric Care
Our physicians are specially trained to prevent and manage older adults’ unique health concerns. They provide both primary care services and comprehensive geriatric assessments for patients and their families, developing care plans that address the special healthcare needs of older adults. We focus on the complete individual, including social and psychological issues as well as medical conditions.
Lamoille Family Medicine collaborates with The Manor nursing home and with Lamoille Home Health and Hospice in Morrisville.
Infant Care
Visits for health supervision are important throughout childhood and adolescence to monitor growth and development. Lamoille Family Medicine has the availability of a lactation consultant, support for new parents and growing families, and vaccine discussions.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends health supervision visits at 3-5 days, by 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 24 months, 30 months, 3 years, and yearly through adulthood.
Sports Physicals
Sports physicals are best performed by primary care physicians (PCPs) because they know the patient best. Often, other topics of importance come up with the PCP during a physical that otherwise might not be disclosed during a similar exam where the patient does not have an established relationship with the provider.
Substance Use Disorder
We provide comprehensive treatment to adults and adolescents at every level of care, from tobacco use, alcohol overuse, and medication assisted treatment for opiate use disorder.
Our Medication Assisted Treatment team (MAT) helps coordinate care with opiate use disorder treatment.
Vaccinations
Vaccinations and Flu shots are important tools for keeping you and your family healthy. Lamoille Family Medicine offers vaccines for adults, infants, children and adolescents.
